Happy Monday fashion lovers! Today’s post is all about incorporating a faux fur vest into your winter wardrobe. I’ve always liked fur jackets, but could not see myself spending a fortune on them—and was also nervous about buying a faux version without compromising on quality. I eventually gave into buying a faux fur vest some years ago, and guess what? I loved it! I caught it on sale for $9.99, and it’s still a winter go-to. I always receive lots of compliments and even better it keeps me warm.
Fur vests are good layering pieces. I prefer the longer versions, but the shorter/waist-length styles are also good—especially if you’re petite. Whether you are a student, working class woman, or a stay at home mom, this look is for you. The vests can tend to be bulky, so I recommend wearing fitted (yet layered) clothing underneath. Wearing a blousy top can work, but the bottom must be fitted. This creates a flattering look, ladies! As you all know, I’m a denim girl. I usually pair mine with jeans, but decided to wear some green leather pants (they’d been dwelling in my closet for about three years, untouched). Oy!er worn.

  • For all my mamas, this is perfect for us while running errands. Yep! Right on top of that go-to sweatshirt/hoodie. Because who said you couldn’t run errands in style? On lazy days, I wear the fur vest with leggings plus heeled or flat knee high boots.
